God Is Personal

Most people who walked away from faith did not leave because they stopped believing in God. They left because nobody ever showed them what it actually looks like to know Him. Not know about Him. Know Him.

That is what God Is Personal is about.

I wrote it for the  veteran sitting in the back row who is not sure he belongs there. For the new believer who senses that everyone else has something he cannot quite reach. For the person who tried religion, found it hollow, and walked out wondering if the problem was them. It was not. The problem was that nobody gave them the real thing.

I spent 28 years as a practicing pagan. I was not confused or searching in some vague way. I was committed, and I was wrong, and I know exactly what it cost me to find out. That journey is on every page of this book, not as a cautionary tale, but as honest testimony from someone who understands what it means to be far from God and then find out He was never as far as you thought.

Each chapter works through Scripture, personal experience, and the kind of straight talk that wounded believers and new believers almost never hear from the pulpit. Because God is not a concept to study or a system to navigate. He is a Father who is still speaking, still present, and closer than most people have ever been told.

That is the message. And I believe it because I lived the alternative for nearly three decades.
